We will leave to the Airport around 10am. We will fly to Toronto stop for a bit then on to Vancouver where we will get on the plane bound for Auckland. We have had a fantastic trip, thanks to everybody who were hospitable to us.

Thursday
Hello
Yesterday we didn't do much. I caught up on my blog most of the day. We went to Rose Anne and Josh's house and played their Wii. Mum decided that since their was an extra ticket to the Bruce Guthro, Chris would go. We went to see Kathleen's soccer game where her team tied 4-4. Then we came home and went to bed.

Lower Sackville + Ray and Lori's cottage
Hello again,
Yesterday (Wednesday) we drove down from Antigonish after lots of goodbyes and thank-yous to Grandma to Lower Sackville with Elaine. We had lunch and headed down to Lake Mush-a- Mush where Ray and Lori own a lakeside cottage. We swam in the fresh water lake. They had a small inflatable raft where we all were playing on. We all really enjoyed the swim and the kyaks. For dinner most of the adults had lobster. After dinner we went in for a second swim and played around. We all played lots of pool, air hockey and ping pong.
We drove back after a Cape Breton sing song and fell into bed at midnight.
Today is our last day.

Fortress of Louisbourg
Hi
On Tuesday we left Vern's house in Sydney and headed to Louisbourg to see the Fortress of Louisbourg - a french fortress of 1744 used to defend Nova Scotia or Ile Royale from the British. It is a re-built working model of the original fortress complete with people dressed and working as if it were 1744. It consists of about 63 buildings in the town and the soldiers quarters has about 20 rooms. The town has a bakery, cafe, many restaurants, inns, taverns and shops. It was fantastic and we all really enjoyed it.
After that we went into the town of Louisbourg where we had lunch and looked in one souvenir store.
Tuesday was really fun.

The Cabot Trail + a 65 inch Plazma TV!!!!!
Hi
On Monday Mum decided we would drive the Cabot trail to her cousins place, and go to the Fortress of Louisbourg the next day.
The Cabot trail is in the top 3 roads of the world to travel. It is a very twisty and turny road ( like NZ) and it is about 2 hours long. We made it and arrived in the safety of Vern and Pat. We were soooo amazed to see their 65 INCH TV!!!!!!!!
Chris and I played pool and we had a delicious meal of Lasagna.
We fell asleep around 12am.

Cheteicamp + Broad Cove concert
Hello again
On Sunday we drove to Baddeck were we touched base and had lunch at the yellow chello Cafe.
That was great. We decided we would meet in broad cove where a concert was being held. The heat was soooo intense (it felt like 35 degrees!). I got a blanket and hung it between seats and sat in the shade! Then we all made our way to Cheteicampa small french town where Mums cousin lives. They own a huge chunk of land right on the coast! I went in for a swim but all the rock discouraged me to stay in!
We stayed the night there in 25 degrees!

Another Wedding
Hello
On Saturday we drove over to another one of Mum's cousin - Refina's house for brunch. That was delicious but my mood changed big time when we found out about the All Blacks' 34-19 loss to Austrailia! :-(
We then went back to the hotel to get ready for another second cousin's wedding! Norma and Andrew. After the wedding we went to 4:15 mass along with lots of other people from the wedding. We drove back to Refina's place where all the children were dropped off while the adults went to the formal wedding dinner. All the children watched Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
After that we went to the dance where Kathleen and I danced alot!
We fell asleep at around 2am.

Upper Clements Park + Antigonish trip #2
Hello
Yesterday we started early with the hotel breakfast and headed towards Port Royal. This is an old wooden fort with a centre court-yard used in the 1600s as a trading post. Next we headed to another old house which had been put to its original state and made into a museum - the O'dell house. Next we went to the 2nd oldest house in Canada which had been turned into a Museum. They had 'ghosts' in their basement - really holograms! Next we went to the feature of the day - Upper Clements park, open because there was no rain. The rides were really cool and their was a wild life park including a Moose. Black bear and a cougar.
We were very rushed because we were ment to leave at 3pm but left a 5pm! We drove to Halifax, picked up Heather and Elaine and drove to Antigonish.
A very full on day!

Trip to Annapolis Valley
Hi
Today we picked up our rental jeep - a free upgrade from a booked economy car!
After some power shopping with mum we set out for the Valley. We arrived at about 3pm and headed out to the ONLY tidal power plant in North America! It feeds off the worlds biggest tides!!!! (16 metres!!). We then went to a 404 year old fort owned back and forth by the English and the French 7 times!!!
We found a Motel with a pool and we checked in this evening. Unfortunately the theme park just down the road was closed due to the fore casted rain which never came :'-(. We will try again tomorrow.

Charlottetown
Hi
On Yesterday morning Mum and I went out for a run around local Souris. We saw the sights then headed out with the others to have breakfast. Our next task was to check out New Zealand. Yes, we went to New Zealand as it is a small village on PEI. (photos to come!).
We drove to Charlottetown the birth place of Canada. It is where they signed the declaration of confederation. We met up with Mum's friend Louise. We saw many potato fields and a GIANT POTATO, wait for the photo!!! We headed over Confederation bridge and back to Nova Scotia.

Trip to PEI + Rollo Bay fiddle festival
Hi
On Sunday morning we left for PEI - Canada's small island province to get there we went through Nova Scotia into New Brunswick and across the Northumberland strait on a 11 km bridge - The Confederation Bridge.
We were headed to Rollo Bay on the eastern side of the island. Brad played the Fiddle in the Festival. It was fun but some silly parts like when 2 American ladies came on playing Redneck music about barbeque! It was soo funny!
After checking into a VERY basic motel in Souris we meet Mum's friend at a very nice restaurant. Her daughter, Carmen, let us listen to her song she wrote and recorded!

Reid Party
Hi everyone and sorry about the late post,
On Saturday we headed down to main street to watch the highland games parade. It was really cool. We started for Halifax at around 1pm. We went in separate cars - Brad, Heather, Iwona Heather's friend and Chris went in Brad's car and Mum, G -ma, and I went in grandma's car.We intended to go to the 4:30 mass but this was cancelled so we went to the 6:00 mass. The party started at 7:30 so when we arrived few people had come. During the night Brad and Heather played fiddle song from the song book, and Brad's friend, Chris, played the piano. We also had a small festival of candles which few people could enjoy because they kept blowing out. Some people stayed up past midnight including me. We all sang songs with all the musicians playing. Andy, their neighbour, is king of rock and roll and was singing his heart out and really was soooooo funny!!!
We were leaving to PEI the next day.

Pomquet Beach
Hello again
Yesterday we set out to Pomquet beach, a beach like NZ - the sand was great but hot and the water was extremely salty. At Pomquet Beach in August they spot jellyfish that will sting! The thought of this made Chris freak out and to make matters worse the lifeguard had seen small non-poisonous the day before! Chris was in and out extremely fast! We came home, had dinner, and headed out again to the opening of the 145th Highland Games! There was an outdoor concert of lovely Scottish music and the national anthem was sung in French, Gaelic and English! A 12 year old boy sung 'We Rise Again' very well. We watched the moon rise as a red ball while the concert was on.
With sunshine and 28 degrees today it was a lovely day for what we did!
Off to Lower Sackville today for a ceilidh tonight.

P.s. I proudly learnt a new iceical - izacadoozie!

Antigonish trip #1
Hi everybody
Today I awoke at 11:30 after going to bed at around 1:00am! Mum and Brad went out to the rental car place to hire a car but as it turned out Brad was coming to Antigonish with us so he took us in his own car. We arrived at 4:30pm and had supper - seafood chowder made with love by Grandma. After dinner Brad, Chris and I played Full House. Today was a pretty uneventful day but we did get stuck in a major traffic jam and stopped for 10 minutes!
It was about 28 degrees today!
Will post again tomorrow.

Canada's Wonderland!!!
Hello
Today we went to Canada's Wonderland with the Davis'. There were many fantastic rides and as usual we went on many rides that could scare mothers very bad! Chris and I went on 5 different roller coasters including the biggest in Canada, the Behemoth! There were plenty of rides for Kathleen and Robert. Mum, Chris, Robert and I went on the Log flume and doing so got absolutely drenched! Kathleen found her place at the swan boat ride and Rose Anne joined her. Robert enjoyed one small roller coaster so much he went on it 3 times! Unfortunately we did not have time to ride the rocket where it goes in a complete 360 degree turn upside down! Today at the park we got 32 degrees and full on sun! Today was fantastic.
We are currently ready to be rushed to the airport to catch our Halifax bound plane departing at 7:00.
I will post tomorrow.
Luke
